Each provider is scored across five weighted categories: regulatory record (FDA warning letters and their context), BBB rating and complaint pattern, Trustpilot consistency and volume, corporate transparency (named founders, clear entity structure), and pricing transparency (whether advertised prices match what customers report paying). Scores are based on primary-source research, including direct review of FDA.gov warning letter records, BBB complaint files, and Trustpilot data, rather than secondary aggregator summaries.
Why do some highly-rated providers still have FDA warning letters?
In September 2025, the FDA sent nearly identical warning letters to 55+ compounded GLP-1 telehealth companies in a single coordinated sweep over standardized marketing language, not individualized misconduct. A provider having received one of these industry-wide letters is treated differently in this index than a provider with a letter addressing company-specific claims, since the two situations reflect meaningfully different levels of concern.
